Our Review

A late-Victorian property in the heart of Edinburgh, the Carlton Hotel sits on North Bridge, opposite Waverley Station and a stone’s throw from Princes Street. Given the building’s historic status, the rooms do tend to vary in size and layout, but they’re all sumptuously decorated. You can avail yourself of a wide range of facilities including a bar, a brasserie and a leisure club with pool.

     No luggage rack in room for suitcases...             clean rooms...             Very clean ...             Booked premier rooms and expected better,...             BEDROOMS ARE OF EXCELLENT QUALITY...             The hotel room was very very hot...             Room was very dusty...             stains on bedding...              loud traffic sounds as windows did not close properly...             rooms were very tight for a 4 star hotel ...             Rooms very spacious and clean...             bathroom was very musty in smell, the chairs were dirty and looked very old ...             noise of the traffic and people outside was horrendous and that was with double glazed units...             Our room overlooked the Royal Mile ...             at night it was very noisy because of drunks in the street ...             rooms at front quite noisy as overlook busy bridge...
