Our Review

The Central Hotel (Formerly Tailors Hall) has recently been taken over by the G1 Group and boasts 42 comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms. They are tidy, spacious and equipped with tasteful and functional furnishings and all feature the necessary amenities. The hotel is accessed via a secluded cobbled courtyard and is situated in the lively Cowgate area of Edinburgh, a few minutes’ walk from the Royal Mile. This hotel caters for primarily young clientele, so it should be avoided by those looking for a peaceful armosphere!

The building is steeped in history dating back to 1621 with many of the original features still visible. In 1998 the building was sympathetically restored and developed creating a 42 bedroom hotel, function room and the world famous Three Sisters Bar renowned for its lively atmosphere. There is a cobbled courtyard to the front of the hotel which features a cosmopolitan style heated seating area. The Three Sisters Bar attracts a diverse mix of locals and tourist alike and is one of Edinburgh largest and liveliest bars.

The Central Hotel Edinburgh boasts 42 comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms spread over 4 floors. They are tidy, spacious and equipped with tasteful and functional furnishings and all feature the necessary amenities.

might not suit those wanting a quiet break...              I would not recommend this place....             I enjoyed my stay ...             Excellent for our purposes...             Perfect for a short stay....             very nice place ...             Ideal for groups ...             The hotel was okay ...             whole four nights stay was a complete disater...             Breakfast service needs some attention...             typical pub accomodation...             Adequate for the purpose ...             Breakfas buffet poor and expensive...             Hotel was rundown, dirty, TV broken, very very noisy because of pub,...             hotel looks great but it is a very noisy venue for big screen tv viewing ...             Many young people use it so it is exciting if you like that sort of thing...
