Excellent vicinity for all the major tourist attractions, ie Scottish parliament, Holyrood Palace, Dynamic Earth, the Royal Mile and attractions.10 min walk to Princess Street. The full cooked breakfast was scrumptious, relaxing retreat form the hustle and bustle of visiting Edinburgh.

Excellent vicinity for all the major tourist attractions, ie Scottish parliament, Holyrood Palace, Dynamic Earth, the Royal Mile and attractions. The Tass bar recommended for a late dinner, a few drinks and live fiddle music. Hotel situated only 10-15 min walk to Princess Street.

The hotel was too far out of the centre to make walking twice a day there and back comfortable for our purpose. I was advised that it was only 10 or 15 minutes away from Princess street but it took 35 minutes to the Mussel Inn eg. The room was superb however. Breakfast disapointing, staff lovely.
Top Tip
No local restaurants other than pizzas in the immediate vicinity.

Nice quiet location after hard days sightseeing. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant ranged from average to excellent depending on which chef was on.
Top Tip
Using the 2 day Royal Tour Bus tickets (pre bought on line) which included entry to Royal Yacht, Castle and Holyrood Palace was very good value. Buses stopped outside the hotel and we used them to simply get about as well as seeing the sights. Scottish Parliament building was also worth seeing.
