Considering its 5 star I thought the room was too small and they tried to charge me for breakfast although that was included in my original quote.

This hotel is style over substance and could do quite a bit to improve and offer a lot more to the average tourist. The bedroom is very stylish but little storage space to put your things away, no dab radio (in a 5 Star!!!). The laundry was nicely washed and pressed, the wetroom well equipped but the mini bar could have offered more than one pack of crisps, and two tea bags for two people is not enough. Comfortable quiet room and location is wonderful, lovely reception staff indifferent waiting staff for breakfast. Breakfast mediocre and cappuccino dire considering they are Italian.

Top Tip
Ask for a bus map and get Lothian buses, £3 for the whole day and buses are quick and easy and excellent. Do go on the open air buses. You will find getting to know the City easy after that. We eat in the Museums and the restaurants were wonderful.

Excellent city hotel, bright modern and very friendly. Can be a touch noisey with street activity late at night. It's right on the royal mile with the castle 2 minutes away and lots of bars near by. Princess street is a light walk away although a bit of a climb on the way back if you are loaded up with shopping bags

the most stylish hotel i ever stayed at. probably the friendlies and most helpful staff i have encountered over the years, the rooms were beautiful and very comfortable beds. very central location 5 min walk from the castle.

Amazing Hotel. Only slight niggle was that it stated that all room rates included free mini bar, this was disappointing as on arriving in our room the mini bar consisted of 2 bottle of beer some milk and a couple of soft drinks! Not quite what you need after a 6 hour drive but apart from this awesome!

Absolutely beautiful hotel, lovely rooms, fab breakfast which was included in the price, the hotel was situated above the main strip of Princes Street and there were alot of steps but it was lovely all the same, the staff were really helpful, gave us directions and maps to all the places we wanted to see and some they recommended. The room was clean, fresh and like new, it is a very modern hotel, Bang & Ollufsen equip, you could even view your bill online. we arrived at 8am and not due to check in until later but they accommodated us straight away despite it being a busy new years eve. I would definitely recommend it. near to the castle, situated just off the royal mile, parliament, museums, all the shops, we had a lovely walk on new years day.
