The staff were friendly although it worried us slightly that the receptionist had no idea which bag was ours when we came to pick them up (despite having only left them with her two hours earlier!). The bathroom walls were in a very bad state and the carpet in the lift and landing were also in a poor condition. It's a great hotel in a fantastic location but is in need of refurbishment.
Top Tip
Gusto Restaurant is a trendy and actually very friendly cocktail bar and restaurant. The cafe next door (forgotten its name!) is charming and does some really lovely food. Also Cafe Marina is great.

Adequate room.I asked for a quiet room, and this was accommodated. Tea and coffee and telly in room. Compact bathroom! Polite receptionist. Would stay again!

It was a little bit noisy when the pubs closed but it was in the middle of it so you have to take that for the covinience of a hotel that central.

only fault was I booked a double room and the room we were given had 2 single beds pushed together and the duvet was too small and the bedside lights were over the bed and you had to watch you did not hit them when getting in and out of bed
