Even allowing for the refurbishment work the reception was filthy. Dust & dirt trodden into the carpet. The corridor carpets were threadbare in places. The room smelled of B.O. & the following day we requested fresh bedding & fresh pillows. After that the room did smell better. I suspect the bed had not been changed prior to our arrival. The trouser press was broken as was the bathroom cabinet mirror. Well placed for access to the old town, Royal Mile, Castle & some good pubs. Within comfortable walking distance of Princes Street's shops.

Top Tip:
Excellent vegetarian restaurant David Bann a few minutes walk from hotel.
